Dundee Libraries' Local History Department is home to many wide-ranging and often unique sources of information about Dundee and its people. Whether you are researching your Dundee ancestors, enjoy discovering local stories, or want to wander down memory lane with our collections of newspapers and photographs, a visit to the Local History department will add unique depth to a visit to Dundee. This visit will give you an overview of the library and archive collections, with a chance to see some highlights from the rare book, manuscript and photographic collections, as well as a behind-the-scenes look at the library. You will also get to know the digital resources which visitors can access through the department, and how these can be used to complement the physical collections.
